LVS veterinarian that rescued Iditarod dogs featured in Sun Sentinel

Sun-SentinelWorking the overnight shift in the wilderness of Alaska at its famous dog-mushing race, a Fort Lauderdale veterinarian helped save the lives of two of the canines who authorities say were intentionally struck by a man riding a snowmobile.

Dr. Lynel Tocci, of Lauderdale Veterinary Specialists, was the veterinarian on duty at the checkpoint in Nulato, Alaska about 2 a.m. Saturday when the dogs belonging to two of the top competitors in the Iditarod race were brought there for treatment. READ THE FULL STORY HERE.
