Lauderdale Veterinary Specialists has kicked off a fund raising campaign named “The Pet’s Tree of Hope”. The fund is designed to assist pet owners with financial help in treating their pets’ medical needs. The artist, Ms. Lisa Spalt, has painted a rendering of the tree on the reception room wall. Each leaf is currently green and as donations come in, the tree will turn it’s leaves to gold, silver and bronze depending on the size of the gift. The donor’s name or pet’s name will be engraved on the metallic leaf and affixed over the green leaf.
LVS is hopeful that with the creation of the Pet’s Tree of Hope the burden of making the unthinkable decisions can be alleviated . There will be certain guide lines for access to the program. A letter will be going out shortly to all clients and former clients explaining the criteria to qualify for financial aid and asking for a pledge to the fund. The success of the fund will depend on the generosity of those who wish to help other pet owners in their time of need.
